Midwest Hemp Council​
The Midwest Hemp Council is the leading trade organization for the hemp industry in the Midwest. They are working to develop and support the whole hemp plant economy. We are a credible information center and a trusted policy advocate for the hemp industry in the Midwest and beyond.
Midwest Hemp Council members represent 23 states and two countries, and we are all focused on building and promoting the hemp supply chain from seed to shelf.
Hemp and Eligibility for Farmers
Hemp offers new economic opportunities for America’s farmers. The 2018 Farm Bill reclassified hemp, and it is now legal to grow industrial hemp. USDA agencies that administer farm programs — including the Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, and Risk Management Agency — benefit hemp producers through crop insurance as well as farm loans, conservation, and safety net programs.
